New Work for a New Season

I have spent some time recently honing in on my jewelry style. I usually sit down at my bench and ideas come pouring in or I visit my sketchbook for inspiration if my hands are just not finding their way. This year I was accepted into the American Craft Council online directory of artists. I am honored and delighted to be part of such an amazing group of current contemporary artists. The new featured artist portal goes live on April 1st.

It has also been a time of show applications and acceptances or non-invites. With the latter two, there is always excitement and disappointment. My work wasn’t accepted into a show it previously was accepted into….Thems the breaks.

It is a time for pivoting, reassessing, and moving on. With the non-invite to one show, I was accepted into another I have wanted for a while and haven’t been invited to, The Central Pennsylvania Arts Festival.

I have spent the past year focusing on the direction my work is heading in and how I can continue to grow as a conceptual jewelry artist. I love to make one-of-a-kind jewelry sculptures that need a little closer inspection. Surprise and delight jewelry if you will, at least that is the hope. In the next few weeks, new work will include bangle bracelets, smaller necklaces, earrings, and HEARTS.

Hollow form Hearts in progress.

A new collection of Hearts coming soon.
