This collection is about sharing the space with ideas and then not being attached if it decides to move to another creator. Statement, one-of-a-kind jewelry is my driving force. The Thoughts Collection is an ever-evolving collection of thoughts and ideas. They are all hollow form construction. A piece of hollow form jewelry is in simple terms, hollow on the inside. It is built using flat pieces of metal and wire which is then manipulated with hands, hammers, files, forms, and fire (and a little alliteration). Each piece is a one-of-a-kind piece of wearable art.
This Specimen is No. 1017 - ”On the Inside” - Our thoughts and ideas need to be excavated on occasion. We need to dig a little deeper or look at things from a different angle. I am usually delighted by these experiences.
The edge of this hollow form was sawed off and then reattached in a recessed manner. Hand fabricated and forged.
Holes have been pierced on the inside of the pendant.
