Collections from my Creative Journey

Bringing ideas to fruition, creative journeys, self-discovery, and slow living. Let’s begin with slow living, I definitely know that means something completely different to everyone. My version of slow living is to not work 14 hrs a day, but 10. I know, hold on now, let’s not get carried away with the “slow down”. I am on the move, I can’t help it, it is part of my molecular makeup and honestly, my version of slow living is perfectly fine for me. I get up in the morning and after I savor my coffee, enjoy the morning birds, and hold hands with my life partner, it is motion, motion, motion. I love it. Movement really is the secret to life. To me, slow living represents curiosity, wonder, awe, and exploration. Simply being present in each moment.

I have been thinking lately about specimens and field studies if you will. Our lives are similar to a field study. We collect specimens along the way that represent us as individuals. My work and creative journey is a good field study, but it wasn’t until recently that I really viewed things in this manner. My goal over the next few months/year is to really begin to showcase this thinking on my website and email newsletter. I want to take you the viewer on a journey. Being open to possibilities beyond anything I can imagine is slow living at its finest.
